The Country Tweed Armchair
Late Victorian scroll back mahogany framed Library armchair resting on turned legs to the front and splayed less to the back, sitting on hand polished brass and porcelain castors.
The frame has been fully stripped and refurbished using both traditional methods and materials such as French polish and beeswax. We have then taken an original vintage fur collared 1950's Dunn & Co Crombie overcoat and altered to fit the frame, fitting every panel by hand to retain that feel of posture before moving onto the next, detailing sides with matching pocket panels.
Coordinating moss and peat tweed is used for the side panels and we have utilised the lining for piped edges, line neck and front arm covers. Finally we source and replace the original vintage plaited leather 'Football' buttons as necessary, finishing off each arm with a cuff and matching button.
All original jacket labels are then hand stitched onto face together with Harris Authentic label.
